Catapult #1The Shooter (the on-deck officer in charge of catapult launches) inspects the shuttle track after the last plane is launched. Typically, anywhere from 8 to 20 or more fixed-wing aircraft will be launched in succession during a single launch/recovery operation. The planes parked along Cat 2 won't be going anywhere until the next round of flight ops.
