Black Bart
"If I told you, I'd have to kill you..."

"Black Bart" was an A-3 Skywarrior that flew secretive nighttime missions from the USS Enterprise during the Vietnam era. It was loaded with highly specialized devices not found on your everyday average A-3, presumably for spying and who-knows-what-else. Black Bart came with its own maintenance crew who held top-secret clearances; regular airwing and ship's company crewmen weren't allowed to go near the plane. And depending on whom you ask, they might even tell you this mysterious "spook" aircraft never existed. The Enterprise's 'beehive' island seen here certainly did exist, though. The beehive electronic warfare center was removed in 1979 to make room for the more modernized cubicle-shaped island.
