Ordies in the DesertAO3 Jon Krokey and his crew from VA-128, an A-6 squadron based out of Whidbey Island, WA, were on temporary assignment at the Marine Corps Air Station in Yuma, AZ, when this photo was taken in 1968. Jon and the other ordies were making water/sand-filled bombs to be used for training missions. As the Leading Petty Officer, it was AO3 Krokey's duty and responsibility to provide liquid refreshment for his men. That is bottled spring water you've got there, isn't it Jon?
