USS Enterprise (CVN-65) is the world's first nuclear-powered aircraft carrier and the eighth vessel in the US Navy's fleet to carry her name. She was commissioned on November 25, 1961, and will remain in active service until her scheduled decommissioning in 2015. The next ship to be named Enterprise will probably have warp-drive capability.
