Flight Deck ForwardI count 31 aircraft in this photo, including the wing tip of the F/A-18 Hornet in the lower-left corner. The USS Enterprise is homebase to about 85 aircraft while out to sea. The aircraft fly onto the ship shortly after Enterprise leaves its homeport of Norfolk, VA. They stay with the ship throughout the cruise, and will fly back to their land bases a few days before the ship returns to homeport six months later.
