This night-shift airdale was kind enough to let me take a photo while he stood watch in his Arresting Gear room. He controls one of the four wires which bring aircraft to a safe but abrupt halt when they land. He also has one of the loudest jobs on the ship. I know this because my berthing compartment was just a few doors aft of here, directly below the landing area.
