God 1st & foremost. The wonderful family he has given me, my gorgeous grandchildren. My job, & the great nation I live in. The chance to stuff myself tommorrow with good food.
May God's peace, comfort & safety be with everyone this Thanksgiving.
Don't stuff yourself too much!

happy that all are glad for your family and friends, work and children, the rest of us don't have much to be thankful for on this day ,with family who don't talk with you, don't come to see you if your Ok, and don't have a big dinner to share with others. We just sit here hoping someone will come by and say hello, or invite us to eat. I have family-which is all over, but couldn't be bothered,we hope the day goes away and have nothing to be happy for,its deppressing and hurts, but what else is new. Very lonely for us, just should have stayed in bed, and think that Carol got it right to leave. the kids have their lifes and don't think of us-who raised them and helped them through life-we are nothing, so enjoy your dinner and your family together, and I hope tommorrow comes real fast.//Gale

Geez Gale, you sound kinda bummed out Crying or Very sad I too have plenty of days when I just want tomorrow to get here.

I usually get a little out of whack during the holidays (sometimes a lot out of whack) and some years are better than others. And nowadays during my worst days, I find it helpful to look back at everything I've made it through up to this point in my life. And when I do that I can usually find a glimmer of hope in knowing that things could be a helluva lot worse than they are.

Thanksgiving is nearly over with. Now get ready to have a HO HO HO Merry Christmas Very Happy

I am thankful for:

~My devoted husband who not only called me on Thanksgiving, he called my parents to send his love....
~My friends... personal and professional...
~My faithful dog who has stood guard over the kitchen all this week while I cooked.... patiently awaiting for whatever fell to the floor...
~The fact that no appliances failed me as I catered the entire Thanksgiving dinner
~That I am done catering the entire dinner...lol...
~My entire family - my 2 nutty sisters and parents that have been married for almost 50 years. I want what they have.... a lifetime of love.
~For the drive and determination my parents instilled in me that has lead to my personal success. I am eternally grateful.
~4am shopping on Black Friday and all day shopping on Cyber Monday!
~The Airline ticket confirmation my husband sent me with a date when he flies home early.
~And last and most important... my stepdaughter turning 18!!! WHOOO!
~Oh... and the fact that this is our LAST deployment!!!

God bless everyone and be safe this holiday season!
Much love!
Diane

I am thankful that such a caring and beautiful woman has joined me in a quest together to enjoy what life has to offer, whether it be happiness or sorrow, any time any where in the world, for us to use each others strenths and compassions to get thru lifes Triumphs and Tribulations, until we too spend our early mornings with the garage door open sitting side by side taking in the sounds of life around us.

thankful my service to my country is fufilled and a new life is begining.

I am thankful for power steering and hope my next car has it. (current power steering gave out and will cost more than the car is worth to fix it)
I am thankful for the picture of B in the upper right hand corner of the screen, and I get to look at him every time I come on the site.
I am thankful, too, for my pups and kitties. They keep me company when the goofy kid in the corner and his sister are gone.
I am thankful for the friends who realized I was going to be alone and called to invite me to Thanksgiving dinner.
I am thankful for the friends on this site who texted and emailed on this day and almost every day.
I am thankful for the friends who keep me sane on a daily basis, but also thankful for the ones that drive me crazy. They balance each other out.
Don't laugh at this one, but I am thankful for my ex-husband for giving me my beautiful children, and thankful that he married a woman who has been a wonderful stepmother to my kids.
I am thankful for my brothers and sisters, especially Bets who moved Mom to Kentucky so she could visit and monitor her in the nursing home on a daily basis. She took her phone with her so I could talk to Mom on Thanksgiving Day.

And most of all I am thankful for my beautiful children, who have sacrificed and put their lives on hold to serve our country.
