Sizor.com came into existence on June 1st, 1999, during which time the site resided on two different webhosts, the first for three years and the second for the past seven years.
And as all good things come to an end, it is once again time for me to move along to another webhosting service. The first time I switched was due to 'irreconcilable differences', shall we say, between myself and the webhosting company. (The bastards tried to stick me with an unwarranted $3000 invoice which needless to say I refused to pay.) The second webhosting company I used, which served me faithfully from 2002 to the present, did an excellent job and provided top-notch customer service, and I've been paying them the same monthly fee for seven years to keep my site online.
This week I switched over to Certified Hosting Solutions and couldn't be more pleased with this decision. They offer a better webhosting package for a fraction of the cost of what I was paying before, so it was really a no-brainer.
Moving my entire website (around 2GB of data) from one host to the other was fairly simple and worry-free. My biggest concern, however, was getting this Bulletin Board that you are now reading up and running again. Moving the Bulletin Board was quite an involved process, and I faced the realistic possibility of wiping out the whole thing. But needless to say, since you're reading this now, everything here seems to be restored fully and back to normal working conditions.
As of this writing I've still got a few minor things to finish up - the chatroom, the RSS feed - but those'll be simple, and chances are they'll be back to normal before you even read this post.
Well, that's enough chatter from me for now. If you happen to run across anything on this bulletin board or throughout my site that is buggy, or any broken links, etc., please send me a PM or email to cvn65@sizor.com and I'll check it out.
Hope everyone is doing well. Happy and safe surfing!
