I am still around just don't get here much. I did find out my son is going back to Great Lakes for some elevator class. Hope it is before the winter hits.
I thnk we are suppose to be out of the ship yard soon around Oct., but according to what my son tells me some of the nukes say early next year. I hope it is soon. Miss you all.

Hope everyone is doing well. It's been raining cats and dogs here in FL lately, but fortunately no tropical storms or hurricanes so far, knock on wood. We had a big storm Tuesday that knocked out my power for a few hours, and also fried my Network Interface Card. I was without an internet connection for several days until I figured out the problem and fixed it.
Today was a good day. My teenage niece recently got her driver's license, and this morning I took her out in my truck to learn how to drive a stick-shift! She did really well and didn't take long to get the hang of it. She was a little nervous once we left the empty road and went out into traffic, but we made it across town safely and without problems. She said she likes driving with me much better than with her mom and step-dad; they freak out and are back-seat drivers, and I was cool as a cucumber the whole time.
I was in Navy boot camp when I saw my niece for the first time. She wasn't even born yet; it was an ultrasound picture my sister mailed to me. (You gotta love those boot camp mailcalls!) I'd been aboard the Enterprise for just a month or so when she was born. It seems like almost yesterday sometimes.
Take care everyone!

I am still around. Mike and I just bought our first house so we have been really busy trying to get that all set up. _________________ Always remember when your loved
